fourDscape has been used in a variety of customer settings for surveillance and response and connecting sensors and devices to optimize the management of critical assets.  Customer segments include public safety, transportation, hospitals and university campuses.  It is also engaged in prospective deployments in utilities, oil and gas and other industrial sectors.

VCORE HISTORY

VCORE was founded in 2010 through a joint venture between Balfour Technologies and Power Management Concepts. Balfour has a history of developing best-in-class visual software technology for surveillance and emergency response applications. Rich and Bob Balfour, its founders, have deep experience in computer science and aerospace systems, developing their core competencies originally at Grumman Corporation for over 15 years. Balfour Technologies was created in 1999 as a software firm which developed and applied patented fourDscape technology to homeland security

applications under a number of Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) contracts with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology directorate.

Balfour Technologies has received several SBIR grants to continue the application of fourDscape and has recently been awarded funds to extend the platform’s capabilities further. fourDscape has been used in a variety of surveillance and response settings for unparalleled situational awareness.
